The Manchester Ship Canal Company is promoting an omnibus Bill this session to obtain pover to close the tidal openings in the estuary portion of the canal embankment; to amend the section compelling the discharge into the river Mersey by the Weaver tidal openings or Weaver sluices; to enable the company to raise about three acres of marsh land above the level of high water of spring tides; to extend the time for the construction of Warrington Dock and for other purposes…
